I’m in love

Finally, my dreams have come true. A ready made blog template that has all the nifty things I’ve always wanted (new comments! Oh my god, finally!) and is tweakable.

Like I said, comments. I’m so happy about this. I know when there’s new comments because I get an email, but, unless someone has me on their RSS feed, they generally don’t know unless they keep checking the specific entry they care to follow. Now - new comments are in the sidebar. Hallelujah!

Also, this looks much neater. I love the collapsable sidebar categories. It looks less cluttered, yet I can still keep the Blogrolling feature. I also like that you can click on the title of each entry to get it’s permalink/url. Cool.

I still have a lot of tweaking to do in order to make it look cool, but gosh, I’m pleased.

How do you find these/do all this? I still can’t make a .jpg someone sent me into my masthead instead of the blue banner supplied by Blogger. Grr.

Seriously, yeah, this is awesome. Like she said, where’d you get this?

And, actually, I subscribe to your RSS feed but still won’t know whether there are new comments on a post without checking back to the post itself or the blog generally.

Typically, when I comment on any blog, I bookmark a link to the specific post in a folder for that purpose to make it easy to go back and check those posts for new comments.

I like it a lot. The only problem is that when I expand the comments section, there isn’t a way to un-expand them. Still, it’s a very nice thing.

You just have to click on another tab. Like the “about me” one.

Glad you like it!
