A point form, more impressionistic entry on my trip to Georgia

Things I loved:

- the cacophany of crickets when I’d arrive at Nancy’s every night
- the sky light in the roof of the guest room
- Anthony’s little circus bow after each time he’d say “Respect ma authoritay!”
- when Lachele took me out for a southern breakfast and the gravy that came with the bisquits looked just like what I was feeling (nauseous) {No offense, anyone! It was good, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.}
- Bo letting me play his bass
- Got to watch a wee bit of Anderson Cooper 360
- Nancy’s quiche (can you email me the recipe?)
- when Bo called Labatt (rhymes w/ “cat”) as “Labaht”
- Alan juggling
- Coke in glass bottles
- Helly introducing me to Godiva White Chocolate martinis
- among the first things Helly and Alan did when they met me in the flesh was touch my forearms to feel for themselves how creepy smooth they were
- some of the people who met me said, “Oh, typewriter girl.”

I’m sure I’ll remember more, but I want to wrap this up.

And how ’bout a round of applause for the Adult Role Model who first coaxed Anthony to say, “Respect mah authoritay!”???

Next week’s lesson in toddler vocabulary: ‘naw, pimp daddy don’ play dat’ and ‘back off, beeyatch!’

Sorry, Hells. I’ve added your molesting of my arm, though. How’s that?

I missed the creepy smooth arms. There you were in my house the whole time and I never examined them.

Basic quiche:

6 eggs
1 cup milk (or yogurt)
1/4 cup or so flour

I added: about half a box of grape tomatoes, cut in half
a couple of organic turkey hotdogs cut up
a little box - a cup? less? - of feta cheese
half a cup to a cup of mozarella
some fresh dill

The original recipe said 45 min at 375 degrees and I did 45 at 400 because my oven runs a little cool. So , . . you can experiment with that.

I’m glad you liked it, and us and Georgia. I loved having you here. Come back any time!
