I’m crashing or something

I’d decided before I even left for G.P. to take it pretty easy this week. Last week was incredibly stressful and the weekend was highly stressful, too.

Mom’s doing better than I thought. I mean, she’s not great, but not at death’s door, either. We ended up having a really good visit and I spent the majority of the weekend w/ her. The rest of the time, I spent playing poker w/ Dad. LOVE poker.

Anyway, I was wondering if maybe I shouldn’t be so lazy this week, but suddenly, I think it’s the right choice. I’ve been feeling physically and emotionally icky for a couple of hours now. I need to recoup. Clean a little perhaps, but other than that, I want to read. I also have to stay in in case her doctor phones. Just for this week - I’m not putting my life on hold indefinately.

Watched both Kill Bills last night. That helped.

Mom said she can see a change in me since I’ve started this Buddhism thing. That was nice to hear. Glad I’m not the only one noticing a change.

Glad to hear she’s doing pretty well. I think you should stay in and read, if that’s what your soul needs. It helps me, that’s for sure.

Mothers know you know! Mine noticed a difference in me too…and then one day she came in from gardening (a frantic gardener, bless her) and said, “I’ve worked it out, all I have to do is just one-thing-at-a-time”! See, mums can discover the truth just like you and me can. Our mothers share the same name don’t they.

Oh, try ‘just sitting’ for a bit too.

Thanks, guys. I feel much better today, in spite of not doing much reading last night!

Hey. I’m SO glad to hear that your mom is doing better and that you had a good visit with her and with your dad. That’s really great.
