Heritage Festival Blues

Someone from France got here by typing “eat sugar and die” into Google. Fascinating.

Dad and I leave tomorrow for Grande Prairie.

We spent today visiting the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. It was neat. But if I were a pioneer, I would’ve thrown myself off the nearest cliff. Or just let myself boil to death in my prairie clothes.

Saturday we went to the Heritage Festival. Devon doesn’t like to go, and I used to not understand why. Now, I do. It’s the same old tchokes, and there weren’t a lot of performers when we went this time. It was just the time of day, but still. And it was so hot, I thought I was going to die. And, yet again, we went on the sabbath, so the Israel tent was closed.

Though I’m sad I have no more friends in G.P. (because they moved, not because I turned them all against me - though I tried!), I’m looking forward to exploring, shopping, and taking pictures by myself while Dad’s at work.

Thanks! I should be posting some pictures to Flickr tonight, though I don’t have any really of G.P. yet.
